A refined evening to discover the new vintages of the Barsento house: it took place on Thursday evening, December 13th, at the Cloister of the Clarisse, for the occasion dressed in evocative vinaccio colors. The presentation party organized by the Barento Wine Company represents the official moment of relaunch for the activity of the Colucci family, in this new page of a 40-year history, by the Curci family. And like any self-respecting celebration there were surprises such as a preview tasting of a good glass of “Ladislao”, the latest proposal from the Nocese winery, the first pure negramaro, intense in color and impenetrable in taste. Alongside the new label, the classic Paturno and Malicchia Mapicchia continue to express all the quality and authenticity of the native vines of Puglia.
We are delighted with this evening which represents an important restart for the winery – said Rocco Colucci – When there is a storm we need to be reed and we, for several years, we have tightened the belt to keep alive a project that continues today thanks to the family Curci. My gratitude goes to them, because of the proximity to our history and our territory.
The evening, introduced by the journalist Michele Peragine, saw the participation and the greetings of the sen. Piero Liuzzi and Councilor Natale Conforti. Together with them were Vito Sante Cecere, president of Ais Puglia and Doriana Cisonno, the soul of the Movimento Turismo Puglia wine.
At the oenologist Palumbo the task to present the new vintage signed Barsento wineries: Once again we enhance and enhance the native vines, with the new fulguration represented by the pure Negramaro Ladislao, with 100% primitive Malicchia Mapicchia, with the personality of Paturno. The pearl of the house is missing: the primitive Casaboli Gioia del Colle will be released in February and will be presented at Vinitaly 2019.
